In the episode, McCauley and former Denver Sheriff Department Division Chief Frank Gale share insights into the collective bargaining process, specifically discussing the new Colorado law called the Collective Bargaining by County Employees Act (COBCA), or C.R.S. § 8-3.3-101.

COBCA allows employees working for counties in the state to form a union and collectively bargain. Douglas County, Arapahoe County, Elbert County and Boulder County, to name a few, are currently in the process of forming a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). This episode explores the process of CBAs and explains what they can and cannot do for the employees. It also aims to help combat the misleading information that some employers may be providing to its employees regarding the process.
